高田さんファンに勧められてブックオフで100円本を買ったのですが、火事や火傷に苦しむらしい悲しそうな物語を想像し、正直気がすすまずずっと積んだままでした。けど、すぽっと手持ちに穴が開いて手に取ったら一気でした。素晴らしかった。
題名の銀二貫は、作中のいろいろな場面でいろいろな人のいろいろな目途に使われていきますが、どれひとつ無駄がなくわらしべ長者のように因果応報となって、最後の「私はええ買い物、したなあ」で実を結びます。ひとつ前のお涙頂戴作品に対して、なんとも後味の良い涙で読み終わりました。これはぜひ娘たちにも読んで欲しいな。
NHK木曜時代劇を見逃したのが残念です。

簡単に言うと、今でいう羊羹をかんてんから作り出した職人のおはなし。
でも、この作者らしく、電車で涙がこぼれちゃうような人情話。
